These IR receivers are infrared receivers for a wavelength of 950 nm and a modulation frequency of 38 kHz. The image shows the currently available Vishay TSOP98438 on the left and the Vishay TSOP39338 on the right, which is still under evaluation and approximately half as thin.
The pins in both photos are numbered from left to right and assigned as follows:
- For the larger TSOP98438: 1-Out (data, purple), 2-GND (black), 3-Vs (3.3V, red)
- For the smaller TSOP39338: 1-GND (black), 2-Vs (3.3V, red), 3-Out (data, purple), 4-GND (black). It is sufficient to connect only one of the two GND pins.
We always supply cables with connectors that match the locomotive module.
