Notes:
- Clipped housing, difficult to open—especially the first time: Insert business cards in the middle on the sides, then carefully pry open the front with a small screwdriver.
- Many plugged-in individual parts (buffers, bogies) that may fall off when handled.
- Space available for a buffer capacitor (1000 µF), but the Cap+ is not connected to the PluX22 plug → still requires wiring to the CTC locomotive module.
- The cable for the IR receiver can be threaded through the speaker hole and bogie. If the speaker grille is broken through, the IR plug can also be passed through.
Conclusion:
- Difficult to open
- Simple conversion
- Soldering only required for the IR receiver at most
