The programming of the CTC-Loco-Modules reduces the effort for configuration to just a few steps.
If you only want to drive manually without load control and also do not want to use train protection or automation, you do not need to do anything else. From our experience, the pure motor control of the CTC-Module is compatible with all common DC and AC motors. From the ancient 3-pole motor to the 5-pole high-performance drive up to current motors with flywheel mass, everything has worked perfectly with CTC right away.
The calibration of the motor sensor is necessary for the following functionalities:
- Precise target braking before e.g. a red signal
- Load control, i.e. that the locomotive travels at the same speed uphill as downhill
The step Motor Setting allows you to optimize the control parameters for load control and target braking.
